Livres Canada Books is a national non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Canadian publishers and their exports, both in Canada and around the world. After experiencing challenges adapting and using their existing branding in various new applications, Livres Canada Books engaged us to help restrategize and refresh its brand and improve accessibility.
Our work for Livres Canada Books started with a comprehensive brand strategy, which helped to better articulate the organization’s vision, mission, and values, clearly define its audiences, and identify opportunities to better connect Canadian publishers with both local and global markets. This was followed by the design of new logo and an overhaul of Livres Canada Books’ entire visual identity, focusing on consistency, flexibility, and accessibility, which was then applied to all collateral, such as social media, reports and publications, promotional materials, and international book fair exhibition booths.
The new brand has enabled Livres Canada Books to present themselves with more consistency and confidence, has opened up new opportunities, and has sparked new quarterly strategic discussions with our team to improve systems, update business tools, and discover new initiatives to better connect with the publishing industry.
“After an extensive search of local design firms, we chose nineSixteen to refresh the design of one of our most important publications. We were impressed with the concepts, equally impressed with their responsiveness to our requests, and their ability to anticipate our needs (and the needs of our readers). They’re highly professional and gracious and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their services or work with them again. A pleasure to work with!”
