Victory Garden Illustrations
On the homefront during the First World War, many Canadians were encouraged to grow ‘victory gardens’ to allow more food to be sent to the troops. This activity challenged visitors to choose and arrange vegetable ’blocks’ within a limited plot size, in order to maximize their garden’s output.
Arm Band Activity Illustrations
Designed as part of the ‘Armour’ exhibit, this activity allowed children to create their own coat of arms and shield designs, based on traditional heraldry symbols and meanings.
